A beautiful bump.... 5 weeks to go!

Congratulations to Amanda and Andrew who are expecting their first baby in just over a month! Amanda nobly submitted to being posed and positioned amid the debris of the Clift McNulty household in order to capture some images of her in the beautiful bloom of late pregnancy. She deserves a huge thank you for her patience, despite all the aches and pains that go hand in hand with the excited anticipation of the last few weeks of pregnancy. Well done Amanda and good luck!

..from Hannah's maternity set. I like the composition of this, with Hannah's profile creating a strong graphic shape in the space. I like the way the light is falling too, just enough to light her profile and give some shadow detail. This photograph was shot against the light, to create more of a silhouette. A touch of fill flash prevented it from being just a graphic shape.

Hannah was kind enough to do some portfolio building maternity modelling for me - we tried a couple of different locations, including Portobello beach. I really pleased I finally got to do some maternity photography on the beach - I've been waiting six months for the Scottish winter to disappear!
